
I took this picture with my phone because my camera died.
I will first give you the original recipe and then I will tell you how i changed it.
4 chicken breasts (uncooked)
4 slices of swiss cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 bag or box chicken seasoned stuffing
preheat oven to 350, place chicken in baking dish, place one piece of cheese on each chicken, pour cream of chicken in baking dish, sprinkle stuffing on top of it all. Place in oven and cook for 1 hour.
I was at work from 11am to 4pm and i did not want to wait an hour to eat, So this is what i did differently. I substituted the chicken breasts for one of my mother-in-law's wonderful precooked bottled chicken. I then used 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and mixed it with the chicken to coat the chicken. I put that in a baking dish and then since James and i both love cheese we put 6 pieces of swiss cheese on the concoction, and then topped it off with the seasoned stuffing. since the chicken was already cooked i only cooked the casserole for 30 min. to melt the cheese and heat it through. We also ate it with rice and a nice green salad with homemade ranch. It was a very filling meal

You can also put the whole thing, raw chicken, etc. layered in a crock pot and cook it on low. Really delicious! Thanks for reminding me how wonderful this dish is! Linda
